Pleione x Taliensis 'Cangshan Strain'

part of a batch of Pln. yunnanensis from the Cangshan Mountains of Yunnan Province and quite possibly originating from the Sino-British Expedition to China in 1981. Material was passed to Dr. David Harberd at Leeds University who shared it with Ken Redshaw of Springwood Pleiones. This clone was purchased by R. Kretz who propagated and distributed it for many years before being passed to me. Originally labelled bulbocodioides ‘Cangshan Strain’ but now considered a natural hybrid. Medium pink flowers of an attractive open shape, the lip paler with heavy purple spotting. A pedigree Pleione for the enthusiast.
